Silly me, I thought I was missing a page so that held the start up. Then I realized I wasn’t. Then life intervened. But I am back to square one and ready to start for real this time. I’ll send you a pic when done. ☺️

Kristin, love your newsletter, am learning lots of new stuff. Haven’t heard the name Jane Brocket in a while, went down that rabbit hole. Love the rag rugs. I have a similar one in my bathroom that I purchased from Etsy years ago. This one is made with tee shirt fabric strips that are sewn on to a canvas backing. Been wanting to do something like that for awhile. On the knitting/crochet side, love your blanket you are making. I can only do 2 crochet stitches, but love it for charity lap blankets. Thanks for all the info. Chris

Thanks for the info on Swanson's Fabrics! I will have to take a drive to visit them! There is also another fabric recycling business opening in Holyoke, MA called Paper City Fabrics. Right now they are only online but are working on a brick and mortar location.

I knit socks, and many of the heels have knitted patches on them.

It’s good to have you back, Kristen!

SCRAP Reuse has 3 stores that sell craft materials including fabric and yarn. Stores are in Portland, Baltimore and Ann Arbor.

I have a vest that I knit with Evergreen yarn and Kristin's pattern (can't recall offhand)

Good morning Kristin! After reading your newsletter I found my copy of Last-Minute Mitts & Hat. I always intended to make than pattern, no time like the present. And I have some of your yarn left (which I love). But I love the Ultra Alpaca for substitute, hadn't thought of that one. I always love reading your newsletters! Stay warm! Judy

Hi Kristin! So nice to read your newsletter this morning. I love to read about all you are doing and interested in. And the links take us to more great ideas.

I’ve also been a mender my whole life, of both knitted and sewn clothing. I just can’t bear to toss out anything well loved or still useful. I’d forgotten about “turning collars”. Certainly an old practice. I used to do this regularly for years on my husband’s daily dress (work) shirts.

Off to check out the link to the fabric store in nearby Turners Falls. Very excited to hear of this and hope it catches on!!

I look forward to your blanket progress. Those colors are definitely you :) Lynda
