The sheep at sunset one evening

Hello Friends from Leyden Glen Farm!
The Farmers Market Season is winding down. We have just picked up a new batch of our pasture raised lamb and will have all cuts Saturday (and next Saturday) at the Amherst Farmers Market from 8 to 1:30. We will also be at the LAST Tuesday Northampton Farmers Market next week.
This is one of your LAST CHANCES to purchase lamb from us this year - unless you come to the farm or purchase from one of our retail customers (Simple Gifts, Atlas Farm, Brookfield Farm or Greenfields Market). We will not be attending the Winter Amherst Market this year. Stock up for your winter meals now.
This year has been a challenging year for our farm. Mark, Julia and I so appreciate your support for our farm and lives here at Leyden Glen Farm. Mark's recovery from hip replacement surgery continues to be long and difficult. A couple weeks ago, I had to rush him to the hospital where he was diagnosed with multiple blood clots in his lungs - officially known as a pulmonary embolism. Another hospitalization of 3 days. He is slowing feeling a little better but breathing is difficult and thus has not been able to rehab his hip and leg. Thank goodness we have some fantastic help with the farm as I am not capable of driving the tractor.
That said, we have decided to host our 4th Annual Holiday Open House on December 1 + 2 here at Leyden Glen Farm. Here is the poster. This event has become a big part of keeping our lives going throughout the year and we appreciate everyone who shows up.

I am busy making pottery and sewing products. I will also have my books for sale and have some special artist friends who will also be displaying at the Open House. It is a fun weekend and we love sharing our colorful home. Our farm raised lamb will also be available for holiday meals.
Hope to see you at one of the last markets or at our Open House on December 1 + 2.

P.S. Back in June, Kristin was asked to present a Talk at Google in Cambridge. It is embedded below. From sheep farmer to Google Talker - it has been quite a year.
