Open Farm Days December 5/6 - Check it out!
Hello Colorful Friends:
Popping in today with a quick bit of news. First the big news. My work and my family's home is featured in the November/December issue of Yankee Magazine. There are six colorful pages with additional copy further on in the magazine.
This feature was photographed last December 18/19th. It is so much fun to see our house in print in this great regional magazine that features articles about the culture and people of New England. I am very honored to have been profiled along with my family. Thank you Yankee Mag!
Next up, we are throwing an Open House/Open Farm weekend. The dates are December 5th and 6th. I'll have more on it later but wanted to get it out there in case you are looking for an outing in the country. Besides our farm and home, my fine artist neighbor Alicia Hunsicker will have her studio open with her beautiful work including prints for sale. Our friend Deborah Garner, an ethnic textile collector, artist and jewelry maker will be at our farm selling her incredible things.
It should be a fun couple days. You will be able to pick up handmade Christmas gifts including my pottery, books and cards. For the crafty, I'll have kits of Crewel Wool and Linen available too. Our farm raised lamb will also be available for your holiday meals. Save the Date:
December 5
10 to 4 p.m.
December 6
11 to 3 p.m.
Come see the sheep, visit the puppies and dogs and enjoy the views.
Can you believe how fast 2015 has gone?
And because it wouldn't be a newsletter without a good link or two....
• Check out these beautiful photos of cuttings growing in glass vases. I need to do this.

With colorful best wishes for a creative week,
Kristin Nicholas
P.s. Below I've added photos of some of my knitting patterns you might want to work up as Christmas gifts.
As featured in Yankee Magazine, my Heart To Heart Mitten Pattern features two versions to knit. A simple one heart mitten (sized in 4 sizes from toddler to adult) and the more complicated multi-heart mittens shown on right. Order on my website here or on Ravelry here. $6.00 instant PDF download.
Christmas Stockings + Heart Mittens Featured in Yankee Magazine.

Kristin's Creative Christmas Stockings is a bit more traditional in design, it features stranded colorwork in many different motifs. There are even extra charts for you to use to design your own version. Each of the styles is given in 4 different sizes. ORDER PDF FOR $12 HERE. Or on Ravelry here.
On the Left is Julia wearing the Farmgirls Stocking Cap. (She was about 9!). That fun to knit in the round pattern is available for $6.00 on my website here. Or on Ravelry here. Instant PDF Download
On the right is our little friend Emme wearing my Easy Aran Pullover for Toddlers and Kids. The pattern is available for $6.00 on my website here. Or on Ravelry here. Instant PDF Download
