3rd Annual Holiday Open House
Hello Colorful Friends!
A brief note today with lots of photos. This upcoming weekend is our 5th Annual Holiday Open House. And we had a huge snowstorm! It sure is looking Christmas-y here in western Massachusetts. The snowstorm has added to our workload but we will be ready. Good thing I got to decorating the exterior of our farmhouse early. Now to sparkle up the interior.
I've banded together with friends Alicia, Deborah, Gail and Juliana to bring you a lovely selection of gifts for holiday giving. I'd like to use this newsletter to share some of the work that will be available this weekend.
Alicia Hunsicker is a fine artist who is doing some beautiful new work making magical ornaments and home accessories.
Deborah Garner is a textile collector and fine artist who has spent her lifetime gathering precious objects. She is bringing her handmade jewelry and gems along with a collection of reasonably priced scarves and shawls.
Gail Callahan aka The Kangaroo Dyer is bringing her luscious hand-dyed silks and yarns along with her Color Grid.
Our guest artist this year is Juliana Farina from Amherst Soaps who makes incredible handmade soap out of local ingredients.
Our daughter Julia will be selling her handmade colorful pom poms and dog treats. Julia is raising money for a Diabetic Alert Dog. She was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetic at age 6. We all are hoping that having a Diabetic Alert Dog will increase Julia's independence and lessen her anxiety. More about this in another newsletter but here she is with her friend Anna and Anna's Diabetic Alert Dog Yoshie.
I will have plenty of my ceramics, tea towels, books, notecards, embroidery supplies and more.
Lastly, there will be our farm-raised lamb for your holiday meals.
Hope to see some of you on Saturday or Sunday. Wear boots because it could be messy. Hours are 10-4 on both days December 7-8.
Directions are here. Respond to this message with questions.

I'll end this here so I can get to that stack of tea towels that need hemming. Hope to see you this coming weekend.
Colorfully yours,
